KVITNES GÅRD

Step into a piece of history at Kvitnes Gård, where the legacy began over a century ago with Christoffer G. Ellingsen, Halvars great-great-great-grandfather bought the farm in 1855, and was reinvented to a highly renowned restaurant in 2020 by Halvar himself.

So - please meet Halvar Ellingsen, our award-winning Norwegian chef with a passion for culinary excellence.

Halvar worked at some of Norway's top restaurants and achieved national recognition, tired of Oslo he set out to create something new. With Kvitnes Gård, he has found the perfect canvas to showcase his skills. Teaming up with visionary owner Helge Mørck, Halvar's uncompromising approach to ingredients and technique has resulted in a truly unique dining experience.

Our farm

Is more than just a place to eat, it's an experience.

At Kvitnes, we let nature take the lead, offering only the ripest and most flavorful produce that is hand-selected every day. The menu changes after the ingredients we harvest from our land, in the forest and at sea.

At Kvitnes, we believe in engaging all of your senses. You'll feel the warmth of the sun on your skin as you wander through our farm, breathe in the fresh scent of the countryside, and marvel at the beauty of Møysalen.

We invite you to be an active participant in this incredible experience. Try our delicious and nutritious produce, and discover just how amazing a simple carrot can taste. And when it's time to check out, you'll leave Kvitnes feeling transformed and enriched, ready to take on the world with a new perspective.
